  • Can't wait for Fall!

So many weddings already booked for this Fall! We were so excited to work with Elsa - she had already booked us months ago and we were excited to finally meet her! She wanted a very natural and fresh look for her wedding day. I stayed away from pink tones and used brown, bronze and peach eyeshadow for her eyes.

For her hair, she wanted an up-do with big curls and possibly a flower. Luckily, we had some hand-made hair accessories that she could try on!

Thanks Elsa for coming out for the bridal trial! Enjoy the rest of your planning and we'll see you in a few months! =)

  • Spring is A-Comin!!

Even though the weather sure isn't showing it--- Spring is here!!  We booked another spring wedding-- she'll be getting married in Central Park! I think that is freaking awesome. What a New York moment that will be!

    Before & After:

I actually did a rough FOUR hair styles during this trial.  She didn't know what she wanted so we were able to take some pictures so she could think about it.  That's what a trial is all about!

    First hair-do:

She is so lucky... she has so much hair!

    With flowers:

JAC Beauty now sells these hair pieces! We'll bring them to each trial.

    Side swept ponytail:

Lower bun: (remember these were done roughly since the curls were all hair-sprayed and I did numerous styles! I would have it much neater!)

Last style, a simple French twist:

    All beautiful looks!

  • Eloping!

I think eloping is so romantic!  Today JAC had a very unique type of wedding.  It was spontaneous!  Right before our eyes, the groom & bride were calling the shots for this very random wedding.  "You're wearing blue and so is she? Hey why don't you guys be bridesmaids."  That sort of thing.  I loved it!

I love doing Before & After shots at the get-go. So here you go:

    BEFORE & AFTER:

The bride was very chill and relaxed.  She doesn't really wear make up and was uneasy about the false lashes but we pretty much pressured her into doing so! (Kind of jk!)  Turns out that she looked FAB and loved the lashes!!

She wanted a very unique type of hair style -- she wanted twisties and texture on the top and a straight ponytail in the back.  Her friends convinced her to at least have some type of curl for the bottom in the end.

    Look at those lashes! gorgeous....

And ta-da... the groom came in to take a peek at his beautiful bride!

  • FACEBOOK!

Who doesn't have Facebook? And isn't obsessed with it?? (Ok, maybe it's just me)

But JAC Beauty now has Facebook! However, Facebook doesn't allow us to have company Facebook profiles, so I had to make it JeanCarol Lee.  (Lee was both of our maiden names!)

I'll be posting videos, pictures, notes, coupons, etc.  This site will be mainly for our personal clients' pictures and actual weddings/trials.

    Check us out! "JeanCarol Lee"

  • This weekend was FREEZING in New York!!! Ok, stop bragging you California people... I know it was like 80 degrees for you, but it was around 10 degrees (feels like negative according to weather.com) so all I can say is that we are TOUGHER out here.  =)

Anyways, in the midst of these wintry nights, I was able to meet up with Jina who has been a makeup/hair artist in New York.  Yay a buddy!  We did a couple practice trials on my 2 eager friends, Libby & Christina.  We did a bridal trial for Libby and a bridesmaid trial for Christina.

I was really proud of the fact that I remembered to take a "Before" shot of Libby, but then I forgot to take one of Christina! =(  Oh well... just know that although these women are already beautiful, we did help them to look even more beautifuller!!

    Libby (Bride) before shots:

Libby wanted to look very simple and elegant, so she wanted her hairstyle to be very simple and classic.  For makeup, as usual, she wanted it to look natural but just emphasizing her eyes and features.

    Jina at work:

    Bride after shots:

    closeup:

Christina wanted to also look natural and we decided to try a down-do for the bridesmaids. She had very very long hair that was already permed, so curling was a bit easier!

    Christina (Bridesmaid) After shots:

Imagine how long her hair would be if it were not to be curled!

    a closeup on the eyes:

Libby & Christina were so giddy and they kept staring at each other... so funny!

Looking back at these I realized that the external flash sucks up all the blush! So ladies, ask your artist to go a little bit heavier on the blush! (you can always take some off if it's TOO much)  And these girls weren't wearing any lipstick because we had been eating, FYI. =)
